Opportunities for Service

If you are most interested in becoming a volunteer driver, you'll want to meet Amanda Walston, our new Transportation Coordinator. She would love to add new drivers to the schedule. She can also be reached at 884-2216.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
- Chore Service Provider: Assist low-income elderly and disabled adults with home maintenance and yard work
- Van Driver: Drive a group of seniors to various activities using our Community Use Van
- Key Peninsula Senior Ride Program: Drive seniors and disabled adults to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and errands
- Community Liaison: Help publicize TMSP programs and services by posting flyers, writing to the paper, or announcing events at church or community meetings
- Grants Assistant: Help identify and write grants that support our mission and goals
- Graphic Artist: Create visual imagery for The Mustard Seed Project's communications
- Host a Living Room Chat: Invite a small group of friends to your home to learn about our mission, vision and ongoing activities to support healthy aging on the Key Peninsula
- Key Senior Information Center: Provide information about pertinent services and programs to elders and their families (training provided)
- Historian/Scrapbooker: Help create and maintain a TMSP scrapbook
- Speaker: Share important and interesting information relevant to elders and their families
- Special Events Assistant: Assist staff with the many details of our special events
- Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisor (SHIBA): Interpret health care coverage information for our community (training provided)
